All in You

Motivation Fades, but Habits Grow Stronger

Motivation fades, habits grow stronger. This is the core reason why people who start going to the gym at the start of the year don’t generally stay there long. In my experience you don’t see the guys who start at new years after maybe a month and a half the latest. The reason is, because they are really motivated to make the change, but motivation is a thing that always waxes and wanes. This is why you need to create habits out of the things you want to do regularly and view them as such.

You Are What You Eat

Food is quite plentiful for all of us likely to read this blog, and that very fact coupled with lack of exercise is leading most of us to struggle with weight. Struggling with weight leads to diminishing confidence, depression etc. not good places to be and something I’m sure all of us would like to avoid. In this post I’ll try to go over some very basic things regarding food and eating so hopefully you’ll have an easier time of it.

Remember That You Are Awesome

Something interesting happened during the weekend: My mindscape jumped back to its former self for a moment, and I didn’t really know what to do to fix that. Hopefully my experience will help you deal with the uphill parts of your own journey.

Book Review: Models by Mark Manson

This will be a quite a short review: It’s the best book to start with and you should go read it now.

If you are still reading you are probably wondering why and need some more convincing, I can respect that. This review is pretty glowing as this particular book has helped me personally tremendously and is a big part of why I finally managed to start this blog. This review will most likely be somewhat biased because of that, so keep it in mind. However as it has helped me I have no doubt it would help you as well. So let’s talk about how and why it helped.

You Need to Walk Before You Can Run

My first post talked about style, but I realized that it’s a poor place to start. You need to walk before you can run, so let’s get back to the basics and talk about what it is we’re trying to do and why.

Let’s talk about the big three: Relationships, Work and what I’m going to call “You”.

Personal Style

When I say personal style I mean it quite literally as in it should be personal to you. Only you should look like you, if you fade in to the mass it makes you forgettable and doesn’t communicate the things that personal style should, namely who you are. It communicates that you are not unique, you don’t have much to offer, basically that you are bland. I don’t think that’s what you are or want to communicate to others so let’s try to fix that.
